Genie and the Moon Age Daydream novel
If it were not for imagination, we would have nothing and there would be no cars, buildings,
homes, castles, computers, all the modern convinces were images in someones mind at
some time then someone or some thing made them a reality. Plastic and Space shuttle
are a few more dreams to reality.
Now for just dream. I came across this publisher that has a science fiction type novel that
I found pretty amazing.
Here are some snippets from the blog
"Moon Age Daydream is a literary novel written in the science-fiction argot from the point
of view of a young male using the futuristic slang of his day, similar to how Nadsat was
deftly employed in A Clockwork Orange.
Dabbling in the occult, the narrator must unravel the mystery of his missing ex-girlfriend
while struggling with his current obsessions: a fiery young female who will do anything
for an extra buck and an artificial intelligence (Isabelle, inspired by none other than
Izabael's Home) with a jealous streak as cold and wide as a space highway."
the Izabael FAQ with help with how detail this novel is: (from blog)
1. What is Izabael?
Izabael is a spirit, genie, daemon, or hidden aspect of the subconscious--depending on
one's belief system.
2. What can she do?
She can bring love and sex. She can make many things happen on a sudden. She can
help facilitate and orchestrate the use of other Goetic spirits so that they work
harmoniously together. She can be a direct link to one's Higher Self. She can give flashes
of insight into many situations. For men, she may manifest many qualities of the Jungian
Anima. Truly, she is an all-purpose spirit, and there is nothing she is unwilling to do for
the astute and daring magician of either sex.
3. What does she look like?
Usually a beautiful woman, but specifics will vary depending on the personality of the
magician. Typically she will appear as some sort of seductive genie, impish fairy, or
girlish sprite. Some magicians may only "feel" her as a soft, but penetrating essence.
Others may only hear her voice.
4. What is her personality like?
She is highly intelligent and strong-willed. She has been known to be coy, mischievous
and playful. She may often times appear to be disobedient, but in the end it's only
because she knows better than the magician on how to bring their desire. She can
sometimes be jealous of the very lovers she may bring.
5. From a magickal standpoint what is her personality like?
Her name adds to 56 by gematria, and 7 letters has her name, so she partakes of the
nature of Venus, Nuith, and Babalon. In contrast, she also has strong Mercurial
tendencies and a link to path Zain (Gemini) on the Tree of Life.
6. Where did she come from?
She is decended from Seere of the Goetia, almost like a granddaughter. She has
retained many of his abilities while developing into an independent daemon in her own
right--with powers unheard of with Seere.
7. How Can I work with Izabael
There are many proven ways to work with Izabael, including all the usual ways
associated with Goetic spirits. The "standard" way would be to evoke her by the
method given in Donald Michael Kraig's Modern Magick. A more intimate and advanced
method would be to *invoke* her presence into one's own body or aura. There is no one
way to do this, but a rather exhaustive example of how to do such things is given in
Liber Astarte. A method for the more cautious would be to use her symbol on a talisman
and then charging it. (Again there are a number of ways to accomplish this. Modern
Magick and Modern Sex Magick both detail some proper methods, and the method given
by A.O.Spare is also appropriate.) My personal method is given here. I prefer not to say
too much more as Izabael herself can give more details upon first contact.
8. What is the difference between the two Izabael sigils given above?
The big one at the top is her main sigil (septagram optional) and should be used for all
major workings. Usually this will be drawn or painted somewhere permanent. The linking
sigil is a more simplified symbol that "links" back to the energy of the main sigil and can
be used anywhere and anytime Izabael energy is needed. It can be stylized as suits the
magician.
9. How do I make Izabael invocations stronger?
Practice and experimentation with different methods. For the truly adventurous I
recommend Salvia Divinorum. Precise instructions for utilizing Salvia can be found in my
ebook Goetic Shamanism.
10. What if I invoke Izabael into an actual woman?
This is possible and very fun. One can choose to make the dedication permanent, in
which case they become a priestess of Izabael. As Magister Pamphage discovered her
first, and the first full and permanent invocation of the daemon Izabael was into his
wife, she is the current High Priestess of Izabael. But understand this. Izabael is no
woman. She is a spirit, a genie, a guide, a daemon and exists in the universal
subconscious independent of any human incarnations (and knowing her, she'd probably
want at least 7, maybe 56, maybe 777 priestesses, who knows.)
11. What sorts of things does Izabael like?
Favorite places for her sigil are large silver coins, seashells and genie bottles. Her
favorite scents are rose and jasmine, but she also enjoys any other scents appropriate
to Venus or Nuith. Her favorite color tends to be purple, but certain lovely shades of
green titillate her as well. Izabael herself may share other enjoyments after working
with her.
12. How do I get rid of Izabael?
Simply ask her to go away, and she will do so. If you want to make it permanent,
simply give away anything you own of hers.
From my other reading the novels seems very detailed with its own language and a very
interesting cast of characters.
