Music Artists Free to Sell Own tunes
EMI has enabled artists to set up MyStores in joint hookup with Snocap. MyStores are online music stores that allow bands and artists to sell music from their own Web sites, blogs, social networking pages or MySpace pages.
You Can even embed widgets on their sites, allowing for sales that way. Songs will be sold in the DRM-free MP3 format for $1.30
Digital music tracks will be sold in the MP3 format, which will also be compatible iTunes
EMI Group PLC said Friday it has entered an agreement with Snocap Inc., a digital music distribution company, enabling artists to sell music directly from their Web sites or social networking pages.
Snocap's technology means consumers will be able to purchase tracks directly from a band's or artist's Web page, MySpace page or blog, without having to link to a separate site.
Cheers music lovers
